Understanding Our Policies
At JustBabyTeeth Pediatric Dentistry, we have established these policies to support our mission of providing exceptional, personalized care to each family. As a small, yet dedicated practice, we are different from the traditional dental offices you may be familiar with. Our focus is on ensuring that your child receives the highest quality care in a welcoming and efficient environment.
Why We Do Things Differently
Unlike many larger practices where patients encounter multiple staff members and face long wait times, we’ve adopted a concierge model of care. This means:
Personalized Service: Each family is assigned a dedicated team member who will be with them from start to finish during their visit. This approach allows us to build strong relationships and provide consistent, individualized care.
No Overbooking: We value your time and ours, so we never overbook appointments. This minimizes wait times and ensures that your appointment is dedicated solely to you and your child.
By not overbooking, we are able to deliver personalized, unrushed care. However, this also means that our appointment slots are limited. In our community, access to pediatric dental care can be challenging, with long waits at other practices. Our goal is to provide as much care as possible within our limited spots by minimizing missed appointments, so every child has the opportunity to receive excellent dental care.
Confirmation Policy
To maintain our commitment to personalized care and minimal wait times, it is crucial that all appointments are confirmed at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to efficiently use each appointment slot, ensuring that we can provide care to as many children as possible.
How It Works: We will remind you of your appointment through text messages, emails, and phone calls. If we do not receive a confirmation 48 hours before your appointment, we will assume you cannot attend and offer the time to another child in need. Please be aware that an unconfirmed appointment that results in a no-show will still be considered a missed appointment. It is vital for all families to actively manage their appointments to help us maintain timely care for everyone.
Missed Appointment Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you need to reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice to allow us to offer the time to another child.
What Counts as a Missed Appointment? Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment or no-shows will be considered missed appointments. We understand that emergencies happen, and we are open to discussing accommodations for unavoidable situations, including a possible one-time exception.
Why This Policy? After one missed appointment, we may no longer offer high-demand times, such as afterschool or weekend slots, to that family. After two missed appointments, appointments will be limited to same-day scheduling, allowing you to call us for availability.
This policy ensures that prime appointment times, which are highly sought after by school-aged children and working families, are available to those who need them most. Our aim is not to penalize but to ensure fair access to care. We do not charge fees for missed appointments, as our goal is to provide every child with a fair chance to receive care during these critical times.
Our Commitment to You
As a small, non-corporate practice, we are committed to delivering high-quality, personal dental care that is often lost in larger, more impersonal settings. Our policies are designed to ensure equal and fair access to care for all families, particularly those needing afterschool or weekend appointments.
Thank you for understanding our policies. If you ever have any questions or need to reschedule, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help and ensure that your child’s dental experience is as smooth and positive as possible.
